Shwayze & Cisco Adler “Buzzin” in Kirkland April 9th.

Friday, March 27th, 2009

shwayzefinal

He rocked the world of feel good summer hits last year with the hit singles “Buzzin” and “Corona and Lime” off his laid back self titled debut album with a “cooler than a sea breeze” hip hop delivery. When paired with Cisco Adlers deep seeded rock’n roll roots and footing, Shwaze’s sound creates an energy that is unparalleled to anything our generation has possibly ever seen.

And we’re bringing you a live 60 minute performance - Shwayze, who’s currently on tour with Mickey Avalon, and Cisco Adler will be at the Shark Club on the Kirkland Waterfront, Thursday April 9th… TPD Live Concert Series in full effect!

Kanye West - Louis Vuitton Don??

Monday, February 23rd, 2009

kanye

Fanshionisto, Kanye West and self proclaimed Louis Vuitton Don tries his hand at design, partnering up with his favorite designer to release a line of footwear called, Louie… How fitting. West has been sporting the yet-to-be-released kicks on his own feet the past few weeks and they were featured on the LV runway during Paris Fashion Week. Dope style or overly glamourized tennis shoes in flashy colors?

Scene it all before.

Friday, February 20th, 2009

In an industry where anyone can get their foot in the door with as little as a myspace account and a lot of free time, ever wonder what it is about nightlife that attracts people? Everyone wants to be a promoter, everyone wants to be VIP, etc, etc, etc..

What happens when the old schoolers turn 30 and are still partying it up like and with 21 year olds? What happens when 21 year olds who once had to earn their way into the scene have egos the size of their “friends list” on some networking site?

If you’re on this site, you’re already engaged in the scene on some level. What defines your scene?

Clearing up the CONFUSION - The Bracelet Explained

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

Very rarely will you see anything related to TPD events on this site, however, there has been a bit of confusion during the last year over the whole Bracelet promotion at the Shark, so, we’re here to clean it up.  You can purchase a bracelet at the door every Thursday night, or, you can get one for free by responding to our weekly text.  The bracelet gets you any drink for $4 as well as $1 draft beers.

When we say ANY drink we are talking about any drink, like, Patron, Jager, Long Islands, AMF’s, Jack Daniels, Crown Royal, Grey Goose and Ketel.  Feel free to mix them with whatever you want whether it be soda, tonic, coke or red bull, its all the same.

So, even if you pay for a bracelet, and pay full cover, you can still have 4 shots of patron and all of it for under $30. Bottom line, unless you’re having less than 2 drinks, someone else is buying all of your drinks, or you aren’t drinking, you should buy a bracelet.

Bringing back Seattle Nightlife - 1 Proposal at a time !!

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

To summarize, there is a proposal in our state legislature that could completely revitalize nightlife as we know it. It does a few things, most importantly it removes the cities regulatory power over NightClubs. This essentially eliminates the cities ability to protest liquor licenses, which is something that normally occurs after any minor incident. It also makes it easier for entrepreneurs to open up new clubs as it eliminates costly food requirements. Lobby your state congressmen/women, lets work together and make this happen.

DJ Evil One, Legendary?

Thursday, February 19th, 2009

What to do when a market of full talented artists and DJ’s becomes so saturated, it’s own followers can’t even tell the difference between a nationally acclaimed headlining DJ and a local green pea? Break the norm and redesign the blueprint of which the majority of us use to define these talents today.

See one extremely talented DJ, Evil One, for yourself at The Shark in Kirkland tonight and at Imperial VIP’s 1 Year Anniversary Party at Last Supper Club tomorrow night; Los Scandalous, Sin City, NYC, AZ, PDX & now Seattle - He will rock it, guaranteed.

DJ Evil One Portrait

Time to step up the ever so repetitive game of ‘accredited’ DJ’s in the world of weekly events.
